Zu meiner Enttäuschung das endgültige Programm ist wieder> 2MB.
Interessanterweise entfernen cl.exe
nachdenklich alle iostream
bezogenen Funktionen konsequent, auch wenn ich nicht /O2
oder andere Flaggen verwendet haben, nur cl.exe main.cpp
. (Für den obigen Code produziert cl.exe
100 + KB binär).
Habe ich irgendwelche anderen nützlichen gcc-Flags dafür übersehen?

Ich verglich die Binärdateien von gcc 4.9.2 (Linux) und gcc 4.9.3 (mingw-w64) für den obigen Code (außer windows.h

Linux gcc weg erfolgreich war abzustreifen iostream
und Funktionen ohne die Notwendigkeit für -flto
während Mingw-w64 gcc kann es einfach nicht tun.
Windows unterstützt nur das PE-Format, während Linux das ELF-Format unterstützt, sodass Linux den Gold-Linker verwenden kann. Vielleicht ist das die Erklärung?
