Okay, ich fand einen Grund, warum ich einen Startfehler hatte.

Lange Rede kurzer Sinn:

die folgenden Befehle ausführen machte meinen Tag:

apt-add-repository ppa:oibaf/graphics-drivers && apt-get update && apt-get dist-upgrade 

Hinweis: Sie müssen möglicherweise eine Wurzel sein, um diese Befehle auszuführen.

Es bedeutet, dass meine Grafiktreiber nicht OpenGL 4.3 und höher unterstützt.

Nach ein wenig googeln fand ich einen tollen Beitrag über die Installation von Intel Grafiktreibern unter Linux (Mint 18 in meinem Fall).
